Meet the team

An interdisciplinary team of epidemiologists and computer scientists working with clinical data on a daily basis.

Lukas Forer

Lukas is a researcher / software developer and co-leads the Askimed project. His goal is to build efficient and intuitive applications and constantly thinks about smart ways to improve and simplify Askimed. His open-source framework Cloudgene, developed in cooperation with the University of Michigan, is the backbone of several large genetic services managing terabytes of data from researchers around the world. Lukas Forer holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Innsbruck and serves as a senior scientist at the Medical University of Innsbruck.
